How I spent my 5 month birthday

Mommy, aunty and I went to The Grove in Los Angeles. I was mesmerized by all of the pretty lights and snow that fell from the sky! Our Christmas tree seems so small compared to the one that was there; it must have been over a hundred feet tall!

Mommy and Me in our Japanese Outfits

Aunty Cherie took a picture of mommy and me in our kimono and hapi coat. This was right before she returned to Hawaii...I miss my aunty!

Sitting Pretty

This was me, waiting for my Aunty Cherie to arrive on Thanksgiving morning. Just in case you can't see it, my bib says, "What Santa doesn't bring me, Grandma will". Mommy says that it's so true. What can I say, I am well taken care of!

Look ma, I can hold my own bottle!

My mommy missed it, but luckily daddy was there to catch it on film! I've been making small attempts to hold my own bottle over the past few weeks, but today I actually did it. My hand eye coordination is getting so much better and I can now hold my teether in place when I want to chew on it.
Mommy and Grandma Candy both say that I am growing up too quickly, they can't believe all of the changes that I am going through. Tonight I ate my cereal and cried when mommy gave me my last spoonful. I was relieved when she brought a little more and I gobbled it all up without spilling a drop. I think mommy was shocked at how much I ate as well as how neat I was when I ate! I know that made her very, very proud! I'm going to take a catnap right now. Daddy and Kona are already passed out on the couch, and I want to join them!

Exactly how many chins am I supposed to have?

During my bath tonight, mommy and daddy were commenting on how some of my folds seemed to have gotten a little bigger. I think that's a compliment.

I'm a bear, wait no, I'm a baby...

This is the adorable bear outfit that my cousin Ariel got for me as a shower gift. It's finally cool enough for me to wear it. I know it doesn't look like I am enjoying myself, but I can assure you, I loved every minute of it!

19 Week Old Mallrat

Today I went to the mall with mommy and Aunty Joe, and mommy said that I was such a good boy! Mommy is shocked that I have grown out of my 3-6 month clothes. Now I am wearing 6-9 month clothes, even though I am only 4 months old!

I really enjoyed looking at everything from my big-boy stroller, it's much nicer than my baby stroller! I got to face forward and look at all the lights and people were looking at me and smiling. We spent almost 4 hours at the mall and I crashed out somewhere between Old Navy and TJ Maxx. When I got home this evening, I was so tired that I fell asleep for about 2 hours! Daddy bought me some new curtains to help keep the cold out of my bedroom, so now my room is nice and cozy, just how I like it!

Mommy dug out my 6 month clothes from the garage and now I have a brand new wardrobe. She took out all of the clothes from my drawer, even though I've only worn some things once, to make room for the new stuff. Man, I am a lucky boy!

Well, tomorrow is the start of a new work week for mommy, so I better not keep her up writing on my blog. I'll write more next time!

Dog Days...

Today I toured both mommy and daddy's work places. My mommy had to fax some stuff at work, so we went down and I hung out on my Baby Einstein activity mat. But I wasn't there long before all of mommy's staff were picking me up and carrying me around. They think I'm cute, and I like that! I only napped for about 40 minutes, so it was hard for mommy to do her work. I tried to type on the keyboard, but I'm not very good at it yet. Mommy said that I was a good boy because I didn't cry at all while I was in her office. Then we went to visit daddy at his workplace. As soon as we strolled through the door, daddy's employees were running up to us. I was asleep when we arrived, but as we strolled around the store I woke up. Everyone was so excited to see me awake, even customers were stopping to visit with me! They kept saying that I looked like both my mommy and my daddy, "a perfect combination of the two" is what they said.
Well, it's time for bed now, my crib is calling me!
