Living the good life in the LBC

This was my second day out in the backyard. Mommy laid out an old sheet so the grass wouldn't poke me too much, but she couldn't stop me from exploring! I love to grab the grass and hold it in my fingers!

Sitting up nicely these days!

As you can see in the background, I have completely taken over the house with all of my toys. Although it would be nicer if I had more room to practice my crawling techniques. I haven't quite figured out how to get into the sitting position, but I can stay up once someone helps me!

Up Close and Very Personal...

I swear I am going to go crosseyed with mommy constantly putting that camera and flash in front of my face!

24 Weeks Old Today!

It was so cold this morning that I had to wear my silly hat and mittens during our walk! I think that I look like mommy in this picture. Soon you'll be able to see my two bottom teeth that are coming in. They are getting really close to the surface and should cut through in a week or two.

Another messy mealtime!

Braves Fan

Me, trying on the Atlanta Braves baseball outfit that my Grandma gave to me. Mommy thinks I look like an adorable 1930's paperboy from New York!

I'm a rock and roll star...

Actually, mommy put lotion on my head over the weekend since I still have some scabs, called "cradle cap". When will I outgrow all of this baby nonsense???

So close....

...to actually crawling! This picture might look like I am doing an ordinary push-up, but I am here to tell you that it's not! Today I crawled a little because daddy put my toy out of reach. I didn't think it was very nice of him to do so, but then I showed him by making my way over to it. Mommy keeps saying something about "Brandon-proofing" the house soon. I have no idea what she means by it. Maybe it's because lately I have been eyeballing and making my way towards the remote control.

Playing ball for the first time with mommy!

This morning mommy and I played ball for the first time. She rolled the ball towards me as I sat up waiting. I was distracted by my own feet several times but eventually I managed to grab the ball and put it in my mouth! I put everything in my mouth in case you didn't know already!

All smiles!

This is the face I am going to make on Christmas morning before I open all of my presents...I've been practicing for months now!

First Christmas Pictures!

Today daddy, mommy and I went to take our first Christmas pictures at Babies R Us. The lady taking the pictures had me smiling and laughing, she was pretty patient with me even though I kept rolling all over the place! This is daddy's favorite picture of me. He thinks that I am so cute, and I couldn't agree more!

How I spent my 5 month birthday

Mommy, aunty and I went to The Grove in Los Angeles. I was mesmerized by all of the pretty lights and snow that fell from the sky! Our Christmas tree seems so small compared to the one that was there; it must have been over a hundred feet tall!

Mommy and Me in our Japanese Outfits

Aunty Cherie took a picture of mommy and me in our kimono and hapi coat. This was right before she returned to Hawaii...I miss my aunty!

Sitting Pretty

This was me, waiting for my Aunty Cherie to arrive on Thanksgiving morning. Just in case you can't see it, my bib says, "What Santa doesn't bring me, Grandma will". Mommy says that it's so true. What can I say, I am well taken care of!

Look ma, I can hold my own bottle!

My mommy missed it, but luckily daddy was there to catch it on film! I've been making small attempts to hold my own bottle over the past few weeks, but today I actually did it. My hand eye coordination is getting so much better and I can now hold my teether in place when I want to chew on it.
Mommy and Grandma Candy both say that I am growing up too quickly, they can't believe all of the changes that I am going through. Tonight I ate my cereal and cried when mommy gave me my last spoonful. I was relieved when she brought a little more and I gobbled it all up without spilling a drop. I think mommy was shocked at how much I ate as well as how neat I was when I ate! I know that made her very, very proud! I'm going to take a catnap right now. Daddy and Kona are already passed out on the couch, and I want to join them!

Exactly how many chins am I supposed to have?

During my bath tonight, mommy and daddy were commenting on how some of my folds seemed to have gotten a little bigger. I think that's a compliment.

I'm a bear, wait no, I'm a baby...

This is the adorable bear outfit that my cousin Ariel got for me as a shower gift. It's finally cool enough for me to wear it. I know it doesn't look like I am enjoying myself, but I can assure you, I loved every minute of it!

19 Week Old Mallrat

Today I went to the mall with mommy and Aunty Joe, and mommy said that I was such a good boy! Mommy is shocked that I have grown out of my 3-6 month clothes. Now I am wearing 6-9 month clothes, even though I am only 4 months old!

I really enjoyed looking at everything from my big-boy stroller, it's much nicer than my baby stroller! I got to face forward and look at all the lights and people were looking at me and smiling. We spent almost 4 hours at the mall and I crashed out somewhere between Old Navy and TJ Maxx. When I got home this evening, I was so tired that I fell asleep for about 2 hours! Daddy bought me some new curtains to help keep the cold out of my bedroom, so now my room is nice and cozy, just how I like it!

Mommy dug out my 6 month clothes from the garage and now I have a brand new wardrobe. She took out all of the clothes from my drawer, even though I've only worn some things once, to make room for the new stuff. Man, I am a lucky boy!

Well, tomorrow is the start of a new work week for mommy, so I better not keep her up writing on my blog. I'll write more next time!

Dog Days...

Today I toured both mommy and daddy's work places. My mommy had to fax some stuff at work, so we went down and I hung out on my Baby Einstein activity mat. But I wasn't there long before all of mommy's staff were picking me up and carrying me around. They think I'm cute, and I like that! I only napped for about 40 minutes, so it was hard for mommy to do her work. I tried to type on the keyboard, but I'm not very good at it yet. Mommy said that I was a good boy because I didn't cry at all while I was in her office. Then we went to visit daddy at his workplace. As soon as we strolled through the door, daddy's employees were running up to us. I was asleep when we arrived, but as we strolled around the store I woke up. Everyone was so excited to see me awake, even customers were stopping to visit with me! They kept saying that I looked like both my mommy and my daddy, "a perfect combination of the two" is what they said.
Well, it's time for bed now, my crib is calling me!

It's Official, I'm a Big Boy!

After much discussion, mommy decided to let me try some rice cereal tonight. It turns out, I was born to eat! I was so excited when daddy showed me the cereal! I started sucking it up immediately, and then when daddy was filling the spoon up again, I saw that there was some that spilled on the tray, and so I sucked that up too! I ate and ate and ate and ate, finally they cut me off. I think mommy was afraid to let me grow up, she wants me to remain her little boy forever, but I reminded her that even though I may be a big boy now, I will always be her baby.

4 Month Shots

I just got four shots driven into my chunky thighs this morning. They hurt like heck! But mommy showed me that it wasn't too bad by taking one in the arm right after I got mine. What a nice mommy.

Okay, are you ready for this? I weighed in at 16lbs 6 oz and measured 26" from head to heel! My head is 16.5" around, which means I have a whole lotta brains packed into this skull!

Dr. said I looked great and that I was developing just beautifully. She was extra impressed when I told her about my ability to roll over multiple times. She said that I can start eating some cereal, but mommy thinks that I should wait until I am at least 6 months since food allergies tend to run in our family. But we'll talk it over with daddy later tonight. Well guys, these shots tend to make me sleepy, so I better get going. Until next time, Brandon

Does this outfit make me look fat?

This is how I make my move...

First, I see the beautiful girl next to me, but I play it cool...

Then I check to see if she notices me as I put my hand on her leg...

Then I casually look away, but I leave my hand on her leg...
Notice her hand moving towards me? Works everytime!

And that's how I make my move...

Halloween with my friends

Jason, Sophie and me in our costumes!

Got my pumpkin!

I "heart" bath time!

This is the picture that my mommy is going to pull out everytime I bring a girlfriend home...

These are a few of my favorite things....

Making funny faces with Daddy

Cuddling with Mommy

Hanging out in my swing with my duckie

Napping...anytime...anyplace

Rolling Over

Last week, I started rolling over! Watch me in action!

First I hold my hands together...

Then I swing my legs over to one side...

Then when I know that I've made it...

I lift my head to see where I am...and that's it!
